Pros: Great professor, he is extremely personable and has a great personality, high exams are tough but his review sessions give you all the information you need to do well on the exam.
Cons: Sometimes hard to follow his lectures because he goes so fast and there is so much material to learn.
Obviously you will need to put a substantial amount of work into this class and memorizing a lot of facts, but it will be well worth it. There is one project at the end of the semester where you have to present on a certain nutrient for about 20 minutes. Dr. Lei will tell you which journal article to read and you have to present how the RDA was determined.

Pros: tells you exactly what will be on the test and has two review sessions before every test.
He lets you retake one test during the semester.
Cons: He doesn't actually teach you anything. He talks at you during lecture and you don't learn anything. For the test you just have to memorize a ton of material, which is not too hard but the material is actually interesting and I would have liked to have been taught the material.
Doesn't seem to care much about the class; he just wants students to get A's. It would be a lot better if he taught the material to the class instead of just giving everything to us and we have to figure it out for ourselves.
